Abstrakt

The paper presents some principles of formation and replenishment of Ukrainian art terminology. It has been found that today there are no established concepts of decoration in contemporary art. Attention is focused on definitions taking into account foreign and Ukrainian experience. A number of terminological definitions of English, German, French and Polish definitions are analyzed. On the basis of the study of foreign experience in the terminology of jewelry art, the general concept of “jewelry” is outlined as one that includes jewelry and jewelry made of alternative materials and provides for the expression of innovative thinking, design and creation of an integral artistic image. It is proposed to introduce terminological definitions into the circulation of art criticism of Ukrainian science.
